I've killed so many basil plants, so I hope your luck is much better than mine. Thyme goes really well with fish and egg dishes (I've found I'm able to cut back on salt when I use thyme or savory), but I've killed so many thyme plants that I shy away from it, too. I think I'll start off again with rosemary, which I don't use much of but maybe it'll give me confidence to move on to things I do use.
