Gave blood today, which was fine and everything (for some reason I decided to start conversations with all three of the nurses I came into contact with, so it was nice from the perspective where I enjoy talking to new people), but they had to check my iron levels with an extra sample beforehand on the big machine because the drop from my finger didn't sink fast enough in the copper sulphate. I was on the border between being able to donate and not ('125' the machine said, whatever that means), which means I'm perfectly healthy anaemia-wise, since they have an extremely high iron requirement, but presumably as a result of that it seems to be taking me a long time to recover. I suppose 'drained' is the best way to describe how I feel - kind of slow and sluggish and as if my hands would go dead a lot quicker than usual if I sat on them.

Still, I'm drinking lots of fluids and almost certainly will feel better tomorrow.

In other news, I got an offer to do my masters, so yay! I was expecting it, since the faculty essentially gives offers to its undergraduates automatically if they apply, but it's nice to have a piece of paper. Even if that piece of paper comes with booklet about legalities and conditions and confusing forms about finance. And tells me that I must "obtain an overall average of no less than 67%, with an agreed first class mark on at least one paper. A [dissertation] must be awarded no less than 67%." Gulp.
