It’s a very challenging source with all the staginess and all talking and you take all that and shamelessly make it a feature. Hamlet just won’t shut up. It’s not what he says but that he never stops and all the jump cuts and ghosts and repeats take their cue from the rhythm of his constant jabber. And at some point you completely turn it around and make the vid Ophelia’s, so every move he made becomes mere foreshadowing for what she has to say, the cracked mirror is hers, it always was and the ending finally silences him, desaturates him, makes him the ghost trapped in the viewscreen.
