Oh, thank you! It's so lovely getting your comments popping up as you read; all you're observations are so great! I mean, absolutely Buffy feels her responsibility - I don't think she could go to hell without wondering whether it's the right sort of hell; she has too much stake in killing bad guys.
I'm really glad you find Illyria alien, also. I love her, but I always want to make sure that she comes across as herself, rather than some sort of human-like substitute.
