This would be a fic call-to-arms! I was chatting to
jen_nsync_landl about my current default fic prompt of Buffy-Illyria friendship + optional dragon(s) and realised I should probably make it a bit more public, rather than moping around thinking no one wants to write Buffy-Illyria friendship fic. So, whoever fancies a challenge, I charge you thus! (Maybe I'll try and write something short this evening too. Need to have tea first.)

In other news, fic fear: I'm a bit worried I want to write something novel-length to come after An Exercise in Futility. It seems a very silly project to begin, especially writing at the speed I do, which, let's face it, is not fast. And I still haven't done the sequel to Brand New Day, though I've written all the actiony part, because it wants to be this massive lump of misery!convo, which I'm not sure I have the energy for. I really need an extra layer of plot to add some action to what is essentially some boring exposition and reconciliation of people's feelings. Does anyone have a good strategy for working out how to find that?
