Date: 17/01/2011 19:57 (UTC)One of the reasons I'm not a big fan of lyrics in vids is I feel they can be too show-and-tell, like a commentary rather than part of what's going on (and sometimes, I feel, you end up with the images hanging off the lyrics with no story of their own). I know I tend towards abstract vids (and I think people possibly think that's what I make), but like you I don't watch actually abstract pretty-clips-to-the-music vids because the lack of narrative frustrates me. If my vids are received as abstract, then it's a flaw rather than an achievement, basically...
