(Ah, girlchat, how rarely I have you...)
So, of late I've been growing increasingly bored of my leg hair. I haven't shaved my legs regularly in at least three or four years, mostly because I'm lazy, but also because it's boring (if those two aren't synonymous) and only achieves the effect you want for about a day, if that, considering I've never been very adept at catching everywhere and was always left with a patch of hair on my ankle. Considering I tend to wear tights, leggings or trousers practically all the time, it's always been kind of a moot issue. Now, though, I'm bored of it.
Because of this, and on top of a few investigations a while ago, resumed today, I have just invested in an epilator from the Boots website. o.O I tweezered out a few of my leg hairs, decided the pain was livable until the roots were naturally loose, read some positive reviews and now it's on its way... Supposedly to bring conveniently hair-free legs that I don't have to give a crap about for weeks at a time? With no extra crap to be bought for many years to come?
Does anybody else use these contraptions, which seem like rather peculiar torture devices? How do you get on with it?
PS. Since we're talking of leg vanity - this of course will do nothing about the bruises and scrapes where my bike pedals are constantly eating up my ankles, but never mind. (What? You try wheeling a bicycle in the dark while tipsy and chatting; it's hard. :P)

Date: 20/03/2011 00:52 (UTC)Exactly! I have a fondness for miniskirts, but have never worn them without tights/leggings... I used to have this lovely knee-length thin cotton skirt that looked great with flipflops, but hairy legs completely killed the vibe.
