Zoom! It's fic!

Hello! (Has it been a while? It feels like a while?) I can't say much is going on, though I have become worryingly obsessed with The Apprentice (alas YouTube is running out of things to show me unless I start actually rewatching old series), but I am doing some work on the novel-length fic idea I've had for a while (ooh-er), though I need need need to finish the Spikeid this summer. My plan with the novel is to have a draft of all of it before I start fixing to post, simply because I know that's how I write - if I fall out of the mood with something then I can easily not write on it for nigh on a year, so for the sake of maintaining a readership I'm thinking it would be worth my while having it all sorted preliminarily so I can post it with some regularity. So far I've got eleven thousand words, a plan and a dream; maybe it'll happen in a jetstream over the summer, maybe the majority will languish until 2015... We'll get there eventually. ;)

Anyway, in the meantime, I have a short fic for sb_fag_ends, that's kind of a moment in time (working from my amused fantasy that Spike and Buffy were in phone contact throughout A5) and is mostly about a thunderstorm (I know; I'm deep). PG; about 700 words; nothing that would require a warning on the AO3.
